Abstract

ITIL is presented as an efficient alternative for integrating and optimizing IT management processes within organizations. The framework’s service lifecycle—strategy, design, transition, operation, and continual service improvement—provides a structured approach to enhancing service quality, operational efficiency, and alignment between IT capabilities and corporate objectives. The model emphasizes monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement, highlighting ITIL’s flexibility rather than prescriptive nature. By adopting ITIL, organizations can improve customer satisfaction, reduce risks and costs, and strengthen IT governance and standardization.
